Coloradans have been fascinated by space since the 1890s. The Chamberlin Observatory at the University of Denver started observing Mars and other heavenly bodies in 1894. Its location in Observatory Park in the Denver University Park neighborhood brings professional astronomers, members of the public, and amateur astronomers together to view stars, the moon, planets, nebulae, etc.

This exhibition was a physical component created out of the larger online exhibition, MARS: From Red Rocks to the Red Planet. This display focused on the archival images and journals available in the DU Special Collections & Archives.
